At Wildlife Foxton Trust we have the vision of 'Education by Example'. To learn about some of our forgotten fauna (animals) of skinks, gecko, fish and invertebrates we provide up-close experiences of some of our more common NZ gecko's, native fish and some invertebrates (when not hiding) on display. To also support this learning we provide hands-on opportunities with exotic lizards so children can understand the impact that introduced species have on our native fauna and their habitats.
The tour lasts approximately 3/4 an hour with rolling delivery throughout the open times. For tours outside of these times may be booked but are subject to availability of volunteers and a minimum charge.
We also have native plants and nectar feeders for sale.
Throughout rest of school holidays open Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 10am to 2pm AND SUNDAYS 11am to 3pm for tours and other sales.
