Hamilton Blues Society - AGM & Blues Night

Hamilton Blues Society NZ Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held Thursday 9 June from 6pm, immediately before Thursday Night Blues.

All financial members will be contacted by email well ahead of the meeting to ensure that the processes around nominations, voting, and particularly proxy voting for those who cannot attend on the 9 June (but who still wish for their voice to be heard) can vote.

Because the meeting begins at 6pm sharp, it a great help if those wishing to pay HBS subscriptions do so via internet banking before the AGM, or alternatively, pay at Thursday Blues Night 12 May (which just happens to be the night before Easter), or Sunday Arvo Blues 22 May.

After the AGM a normal Thursday evening of blues follows with jamming with Garry Spain. From 8pm stage access is whiteboard controlled with Huw Alderman at the helm. If you wish to pre-book a time slot, please email Huw in advance at hsb2events@gmail.com. Time slots are 20 minutes or three songs (whichever finishes sooner). Non-members are more than welcome to join us but after the AGM if that is OK.

As usual a gold coin donation is always appreciated, the event is child friendly, there is a spot prize, and there will be raffles so bring a little extra cash. Please remember, with the large number of people who are largely electronic transaction orientated, the bar is reluctant to act is an ATM, so please, if you wish to be involved with the raffles and pay subscriptions please bring the cash to the venue.
