After a 2 year break from shows while in the studio, TAHI FM are proud to announce Jack Panther and band are revving to showcase an intimate show of his new work at Auckland's Wine Cellar featuring support from rising start Judah Kelley.
JACK PANTHER
Brought up in the Wellington music scene, Tāmaki Makaurau-based queer artist Jack Panther uses his craft to blend tones of melancholy with pop. Panther spent much of his youth with his headphones on, listening to Sky Ferreira and writing angsty poetry.
His most recent single 'SKI LIFT 001' premiered on Rolling Stones Australia, who described the track as one of the most hard-hitting songs you’ll hear all year.
In June, Jack released his sophomore EP ‘why don’t you come over?’ When discussing the new alt-pop EP he says “it showcases such a different side to me, one that feels kind of badass. Throughout writing the project I was listening to such confident, self-assured music and it rubbed shoulders with me I guess. For the first time I feel empowered by my own music and I think that says a lot.”
It’s clear 2022 will see a big year for Panther who is planning his next moves, focusing on his live band and heading back into the studio for writing sessions over in Australia and the UK.
JUDAH KELLEY
Ōtepoti artist Judah Kelley came into the spotlight early 2021 with her celebrated debut single ‘READY’. Judah experiments with elements of rock, pop, and alternative music in her writing, creating a diverse sound which can be heard across her song ‘Dance The part’ and her latest single ‘Apathy'. Described by Aotearoa publication, Hype Medium, as ‘absolutely one to watch for 2022’, Judah is set to showcase some of her finest work this year.’
With support from TAHI FM.
