This exhibition is the first of the Akaroa Art Gallery 2022/2023 season. This fabulous exhibition will show some stunning artwork by two very talented artists Jane Reid and David Tait.
Jane Reid lives in Rangiora and was originally a watercolour artist, however, she has been working with acrylics since the 2020 lockdown. Jane now works mainly in oils and seeks to convey a sense of beauty in the every day and encourages the viewer to take their time, to notice the details and immerse themselves in the nuances of shape and colour.
David Tait resides in Duvauchelle Banks Peninsula. His original passion was for landscape paintings but in David's more recent work he has used plasters and acrylic to create three-dimensional images on board. These works have proved extremely popular with the New Zealand art lover.
