Julie Zarifeh is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist. She has investigated the psychological factors contributing to 'broken heart syndrome after the Christchurch earthquakes and has presented at many conferences.
The 2017 deaths of Julie's husband and son fuelled a passion for resilience psychology as she worked to accept and adjust to the double bereavement. Julie is now engaged to be married again.
She loves swimming, running, exploring NZ, and spending time with her two adult children, their partners, grandchildren, extended family, and good friends.
She lives in Sumner, Christchurch.
