An intimate cabaret where wahine sing the blues - for a night of Matariki soul and stunning bi-lingual jazz waiata, featuring two of Aucklands most well known and respected jazz and blues divas together - Allana Goldsmith and Catherine Tunks.

In the intimate venue of Titirangi's Lopdell House Theatre, Goldsmith's (Ngati Porou/Ngai tai) soulful jazz vocal with compositions blending a beautiful mix of Te Reo and English combined with British pianist Dr Mark Baynes contemporary jazz stylings - perform a truly uplifiting combination together as 'Goldsmith Baynes' .

Tunks' (Te whanau a Apanui/Whakatohea) sultry voice and strong blues energy combines splashes of old country gospel and jazz roots, the prolific songwriter and musical gypsy of former Jazz/Funk band Black Sand Diva is joined by Indian guitarist Warren Mendonsa (BlackStratBlues) with their intoxicating mix of Black Magic Southern Soul.

These four stellar musicians bring a night of cultural Matariki fusion with strong Wahine Maori vocal and stunning accompaniment.
