As the world gets warmer and the tech gets cooler, what role will energy play in our sustainable future?

As Einstein said, "We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them."

Join us at LUMO to explore new thinking at the edge. We're flipping the traditional conference model on its head - to give a platform to the most diverse voice, across disciplines, hierarchies and cultures.

Conversation themes include humanity and energy, kaitiakitanga, the solar debate, future skills, climate change, community ownership, democratisation and last but not least - breaking the system.

The conversation and speakers at LUMO are curated by the voice of our participants. We're talking debates, poetry, art installations, forums, name it. To do this, we've collated over 100 applications from across the energy sector and beyond, hearing your ideas on the big ideas shaping the future of energy.

Unlike other conferences we'll be integrating arts and culture into the event to illuminate energy’s impact on everything we do.

Please note, special ticket prices for students and speakers are available. Contact Energy Academy to find out more at
