We are excited to introduce Maico Camilo to ArtSelect Gallery's audience with the opening of his solo exhibition on the 26th of July 2022. Maico will be at the opening so please come and enjoy a glass of wine with us in the presence of these high-energy abstract paintings.

Maico Camilo, was born in Brazil and left his home country to pursue his education at an early age. Maico decided to make a new move to New Zealand in 2005 where he met his partner and now husband Lyndon Bray. Due to his partner’s work, Maico has travelled extensively up into Europe, South Africa, Asia, South America and Oceania. After almost 10 years away from NZ, Maico Camilo is finally back, and living in New Zealand.
Camilo has set about exploring his own journey through his art, challenging his own paradigms and his reason for being and not being afraid to explore different vocabularies and communication forms through his art. As a result, he is challenging us all to confront the obvious, in terms of what is going on around us.
Maico’s works of art are found in collections around the world including Brazil, Argentina, Australia, South Africa, England, France, Spain, Amsterdam, Italy, USA, Hong Kong and Japan..with an invitation to exhibit in New York one of his most recent achievements.
