Making Theatre From Scratch with Dr Kerryn Palmer

In this practical workshop, participants will explore different methods of devising theatre. During this two day workshop, they will explore form, content and purpose and will be guided to develop their own devising process. This will involve generating, exploring and distilling creative ideas that can then be developed into a work-in-development. Participants will be given practical strategies of methods for documenting and developing the work and ideas for “where-to-go-next.” This course will actively teach ways to harness creative ideas into a finished product. Participants can choose to create individually or in groups. It aims to be active, thought-provoking, challenging and fun. By the end of the workshop, each student will have created a piece of theatre or started to develop a piece of theatre.
