Emma Barnes and Chris Tse spent close to three years working on ‘Out Here: an Anthology of Takatāpui and LGBTQIA+ writers from Aotearoa’. Hear from Emma about the process from its inception, through to the creation of the beautiful object we can now hold in our hands.

Emma will talk about the challenges and the triumphs which included, the huge number of submissions and identified writers, lockdowns, Covid-related printing delays and being unable to launch as the delta outbreak happened towards the end of 2021. While the delightful writer and reader reactions and small releases when they could happen, united the community.

Come along to hear more about this colourful collection, inside and out.

In advance of this event, you can buy 'Out Here: an Anthology of Takatāpui and LGBTQIA+ writers from Aotearoa' in the Govett-Brewster Design Store.
