Queer AF

Astronesian native, NahBo, is sad about colonisation, then writes beats about it. NahBo is a character designed by te-Whanganui-a-Tara-based performer Taranaki Ah Young-Grace (Ngāti Ruanui, Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Samoa, China, UK, Ireland, Germany, and France). The sonic aesthetic of NahBo relies heavily on Taranaki's time studying vocals in the jazz performance course at the University of Auckland as well as their love for neo-soul, indie rap, hip hop, and DIY shit, and sticking it to "the man."

WYNONA is the DJ/producer alias of Tāmaki Makaurau born, Te-Whanganui-a-Tara based performer and artist Reon Bell (Ngāti Tūwharetoa). WYNONA’s sound is heavily influenced by the many subgenres and facets of hip-hop, electronic, pop, house and garage music. He has a lot of music ready to be released later this year, featuring the rhymes and voices of many other artists across Te-Whanganui-a-Tara.

Bored Housewives Club
Te Whanganui-a-Tara based twee-punk duo Bored Housewives Club are back and about to unleash their new EP, A MILF in Sheep's Clothing. Featuring the band's recently released single Smoking Weed / Kissing Dudes (#3 on Top 11), the EP is packed with the band's signature catchy hooks, fuzzy guitars and DIY charm. To celebrate, the band will be embarking on their first national tour to Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington, Palmerston North and Auckland in June, so catch them before they go on tour!
