On the 12th - 14th of August 2022 more than 65 Arts Canterbury members will be exhibiting at the inaugural Arts Canterbury Art Show at The Cashmere Club, 50 Colombo Street, Cashmere, Christchurch. Arts Canterbury believe in fostering appreciation of the visual arts in Canterbury and provide support to artists who create it. This event will be a fundraiser for Arts Canterbury so that they may continue to provide this support to their members.

The members of Arts Canterbury come from a variety of backgrounds and differing levels of experience – from established professional full time artists, emerging artists and hobbyists across a wide spectrum of mediums and styles. The artists exhibiting at this show come from all over Canterbury - from Kaikoura, Waimakariri District, Christchurch, Selwyn district, Banks Peninsula and all the way down to Tekapo in South Canterbury. Not only will you find traditional paintings and drawings on show, but also artworks created from glass, driftwood and even tin cans! There will definitely be something there for everyone to enjoy.

The Arts Canterbury Art Show at the Cashmere Club opens on Friday 12th of August with a ticketed opening night - tickets can be bought from eventbrite or there will be limited door sales. At the opening night you can enjoy a complimentary drink, nibbles and live music while enjoying all of the art and mingling with the artists. You will also be able to bid on the silent Art Auction which will be running throughout the weekend.

The show will then be open to the public Saturday and Sunday 10am-4pm, and is just a gold coin donation on the door.
