In this 4-week beginners wheel throwing course, aspiring potters will learn the basic throwing techniques used to throw cylinders, cups and bowls.
You will learn to throw, trim and glaze your creations.
Over the first two sessions will learn to throw pots on the wheel, focusing on making mug sized cylinders and bowls. By week 3 you will be able to choose your 4 favourite pieces to finish and decorate, you'll learn to turn your pots, carve foot rings, and define the forms. Then we will pull and attach handles.
The last session is all about getting creative with decoration and personalizing the work.
We ask that participants bring an apron or overshirt to keep their clothes clean and a hand towel.
