Pūrerehua (bullroarers) are a traditional Māori instrument made of wood, bone or stone attached to a long string that makes an atmospheric, roaring sound when swung through the air!
Come along and construct and decorate your own wooden pūrerehua. You can also make your own Wishing Star, an easy origami paper star that you can decorate and write a message in.
This is a wonderful way to while away the minutes in between the other talks, performances, and shows all at Otago Museum this Matariki weekend.
