Pukapuka Adventures - Auckland Writers Festival

Every year the Auckland Writers Festival Waituhi o Tāmaki creates a free event to celebrate books and authors with children, aiming to foster an early love of reading and the magic of books.

This year PUKAPUKA ADVENTURES is taking over the Auckland Town Hall on Sunday 28th August from 9am, with author sessions, book signings, a fun detective quest, poi making, hands-on printing with an old press, and drawing lessons from Donovan Bixley.

There’s a whole day of fun and entertainment in two rooms – the Supper Room for the under 5s, and the Great Hall for 5+ – with a kapa haka performance ending a truly adventurous day. All totally free!
