Learn the basics of the ancient Chinese practice, QiGong
氣 (Qi - life force) 功 (Gong - work/cultivation)

Used for health, martial and spiritual purposes, QiGong teaches us to have a deeper awareness of our body, breath and mind. This is taught through postures, movements, breathing techniques and philosophy.

Although there are many forms being taught now in the West, without the proper understanding and embodiment of the foundations of QiGong, one will not be able to unlock the deeper treasures of these arts.

During these classes Kate will teach methods to properly align the body, deepen the breath, calm and sharpen the mind, unblock stagnated 'pathogenic' Qi, build 'healthy' Qi, improve balance, strength, and much more.

As QiGong is rooted in Daoism and Traditional Chinese Medicine, you will inevitably learn more about these too!

Join Kate for weekly classes, Mondays in Whitianga and Tuesdays in Tairua.
Suitable for ALL! All ages, mobility levels, experience levels.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
As the weather is still cool, please wear shoes and socks.
If you have one, bring a yoga mat and a cushion. Not essential.
Please call Kate if you would like to attend the class on 0204871178.

Kate first studied Kung fu and QiGong at Wu Wei Si, a temple in Yunnan, China in 2016. Kate has furthered her studies with many teachers and Masters around the world, including interning at a Medical QiGong Clinic in Malaysia, training Kung Fu is South Africa and is an accredited international QiGong teacher through the World Health QiGong.

Kate is a Registered Nurse and Chinese Medicine practitioner, and has an Inner Garden Clinic, in Tairua & Whitianga.
