Re:In:Act – the overlooked corners, layers and pockets of history brought alive in performance by top local artists. Ōtepoti Theatre Lab, in collaboration with Toitū, is proud to present a short series of artistic responses to three distinct galleries.

This stop in our journey takes us to the First Great City, a performance featuring Kelly Hocking and Nadya Shaw Bennett. Entertainers often had a dual purpose – to provide an escape from the challenges of daily life and to help raise funds for citizens in need. Now from the “dust and ashes of the past,” their voices may be heard at last…
