Rocket Berry is departing from home base on a very special mission to their favourite Whanganui venue, Porridge Watson! Fresh off a busy month of gigs, the Alt-Pop four-piece from Wellington will be playing an energetic set that combines the thrust power of a rocket launcher and the juicy tang of the season's sweetest berries.

Rocket Berry is an indie-pop act formed in Te Whanganui-a-Tara in 2022 made up of Clara van Wel, Connor Scott, Ilja Gray, and Peter Wilkes. Synths bridge the gap between folk-rock and disco to create a groove best described as “zeitgeist-pop”.

Jack Hooker is an acoustic guitarist and electronic musician, known locally as a member of the wall-of-sound duo The Shocking and Stunning. Jack will be opening the night with his solo instrumental acoustic guitar soundscapes. Expect intricate fingerpicking, tapping techniques, and open tunings in a mesmerising style that draws from diverse worldwide influences.
