Rudi & Celeste Buchanan-Strewe 'DNA' Exhibition Opening

RUDI BUCHANAN STREWE
Since a very young age I've loved collecting tools, machinery and other old interesting objects. Visits to Driving Creek and meetings Stuart Slater the black smith had a huge impression on me. I built my first forge when I was 15. At 18 I trained as a motorcycle mechanic and worked with Ken Mackintosh restoring classic motorcycles. My sister and I recently had DNA tests which surprised us with a percentage of West African DNA.

It's in my DNA to draw and paint. I grew up surrounded by art in all it's form and mediums. With trips to Art Galleries and Museums being a favourite for me. I trained as a Makeup Artist which included spfx and body art which might be why I like painting on unusual surfaces. My love of the natural world meets my love of mythology in this exhibition.
