Body Movement Technique Drills for Salsa & Bachata Level 1 - suitable for all those who are familiar with the basics of Salsa and Bachata.

This course is about gaining an understanding of the body mechanics in order to create fluidity when dancing and as result “execute” the movement rather than “doing” the movement. This is not a styling course. Styling can only be added once you understand body movement. Styling is the “cream, cherry and sprinkles” on top of the cake. Body movement is the "cake" - the base that is put together by different elements.

This course will go over many of the details we normally don't have enough time for in the regular curriculum courses. We will cover everything starting from your feet to ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, arms, rib cage and more. All of this falls under body movement as it is important to understand the relation from one to the other in order to understand coordination, weight transfer, isolation and more.

These technical details are important to make your dancing smooth, simple, graceful and have (or understand) control of each movement. We will first go over the technical parts step-by-step, then put it in practice how to apply it. Beginners who have completed L1 are Welcome!

No partner necessary! You can come on your own as we rotate partners and everybody gets a chance to meet and dance with everyone.

Check out other dance styles too, such as Bachata or Salsa dancing. There is lots to choose from on our website!
