What are the key differences between Salsa on1 vs. on2, apart from the timing? Why is it that you may find it difficult to transition from on1 to on2? Why should you even bother if its just about numbers and realigning your steps... and step in a different direction. Well, its not just about numbers. In fact, not about numbers at all, but a whole lot more to do with the instrumentation in the music!
Learn the main differences, learn to listen, apply and maintain consistency throughout a dance. Learn how the dynamics of the dance change to give a more natural opportunity for body movement. Transitioning from on1 to on2 can be an incredible eye and ear-opening experience. You will also learn how to dance on2 in different ways. Learning to dance on2 opens up many possibilities to add rhythm variety to your dance without changing your breaking steps. Learn to follow instruments - without changing your breaking steps. In fact, you don't even need numbers when you learn what to listen for in the percussion. The various instruments will guide you if you know what to listen for and how to apply. Gian will explain and break down all the key differences and elements and how to apply them to your Salsa dancing.
Note, this course is for dancers with previous Salsa on1 experience and wish to expand their knowledge and learn the reasons and purpose of dancing on2. Not suitable for complete beginners to Salsa.
No partner necessary! You can come on your own.
