Samoan Weaving Demonstration

Discover the art of Pasifika weaving using harakeke (flax) led by award-winning local weaver Misa Emma Kesha.

Grab a coffee from the Museum Café and watch Emma, the founder of the Dunedin Multicultural Weavers Association demonstrate this skilled art form.

This event is part of Creative Pasifika 2022, check out all that we have on celebrating the cultures of the Pacific. Ukuleles will be available nearby to play Pasifika style, and there is Pasifika-inspired art, crafts, performances and food from 10 – 18 September.
