Initially an electronica studio project which was started in late 2019 the idea was to fuse electronica and live instruments together - from this idea Speech Act Theory great into a live band which now consists of drummer Ben Bradford, guitarist Jamie Crerar, bass player Michelle Anderton and vocalists Zoe Scott and Brodie Macdonald.
With three previous singles behind them (debut single Holding Out released in Aug 2021 and September 2021’s Grief Wave and October 2021’s Straight Lines), Speech Act Theory returned with their latest single Old Versus New in February.
They sight groups like Zero 7, Radiohead, Massive Attack, Four Set, Boards of Canada as their musical influences.
