Irish comedian Alan McElroy and Auckland based Irish instrumental group Sona, will be bringing St Paddy's Day to Kerikeri on the 17th March 2022, promising laughs, jigs and reels, Irish stew and a Guinness or two!

Alan McElroy is an award-winning comic, actor and MC and was recently nominated for Best MC at the NZ Comedy Guild Awards. He has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe, Electric Picnic in Ireland & performed to sold-out crowds in Australia hosting the International Pub Crawl and Full Irish shows in which he received a 5 STAR review. Sona - translating to happy in Irish - is comprised of multi-instrumentalists Emily Roughton, brothers Caleb and Chabb Chia and award-winning dancers Laura and Claire Robertson. These five vibrant artists are well known in the New Zealand traditional music scene and are regular performers at the Auckland Folk Festival. They have grown up playing music together and now look to explore a fresh side of the traditional music they love. Expect fiddles, flutes, guitars and the Irish Harp playing jigs, reels, polkas and slides.
