The main thing to remember is you must RE-ENTER (let me know either on this Facebook post or on my contact details below) for the 9th April 2022 date regardless of whether you have placed an entry previously with me or not.

Covid-19 Rules

Everyone entering our Venue ( not just players) must have either a Vaccination pass, a medical exemption or be under 12 years and 3 months old.

We will also have a sheet to scan into if you have the app or if you don`t have the app on your phone there will be a Contact Tracing Register to sign.

The 2022 Thames Valley Chess Championship is still for both Juniors and Seniors (if we have sufficient numbers) it will still be FREE to enter with Trophies for the Junior and Senior Winners in addition there is Prizemoney for 1st,2nd, and 3rd place in both the Junior and Senior categories.

Our Tournament takes place on Saturday the 9th April 2022 at the Thames War Memorial Civic Centre in the Auditorium starting at 9am.

All players must be committed to being in the Tournament from 9am to 5.45pm as below we will take entries up until and including Friday the 8th April 2022.

We may take entries on the day of the Tournament but there may be a penalty fee because of the extra work involved with late entries and the possible delay late entries could cause to the Tournament schedule (hold everyone else up), which will be up to our FIDE Arbiter.

Below are the start times for each round Most Importantly Players need to be in the Auditorium at 9am sharp because our FIDE Arbiter will be outlining the playing process for the day.
Everyone is of course welcome to come and view our Tournament at any time again
