This event is presented as part of the 2022 Art Deco Festival.
The Royal New Zealand Air Force Band has been a vital unit of the New Zealand Defence Force for more than eighty years. The band is made up of highly skilled reservists, with many also performing in other leading ensembles, ranging from the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra Wellington to Shapeshifter and the Rodger Fox Big Band. The largest professional symphonic band in the country, the RNZAF Band returns to Art Deco with a variety show covering symphonic masterworks, jazz standards and of course some Art Deco classics to boot. The band will perform at Hasting’s stunning Toitoi under the baton of Flight Lieutenant David Gallaher MNZM. The RNZAF Band is thrilled to be returning to the Art Deco Festival, and to be presenting this wonderful show of music that everyone will enjoy.
Vaccination Passes will be required to attend all Art Deco Festival events – including Art Deco Trust events, associated events and independent events – and Pass checking will be a condition of entry at each venue.
