It’s music, but not as you know it. Join ‘The Nukes’ for this highly entertaining and interactive musical bonanza – combining workshops and shows.

Schedule
Workshop one: 10.30am – 11.30am
Show: 11.45am – 12.30pm

Workshop two: 1.30pm – 2.30pm
Show: 2.45pm – 3.30pm

Workshop
After learning some basic skills, the workshop participants then become part of the band, performing with The Nukes in a fun entertaining show. The workshops are for kids of any level of playing ability that combine a mix of ukulele, percussion, dancing and singing.

Ukulele workshops are for tamariki 7-12 years. Ukes and musical instruments supplied.

There is a limit of 35 participants per session, booking is essential.

The Nukes Show
Join ‘The Nukes’ to enjoy a show combining humour, fantastic songwriting, great musicianship, and singing. Kids from the workshop get to be part of the show. Shows are for tamariki of all ages and their whānau.

The Nukes
Aotearoa New Zealand’s most beloved and enduring ‘original ukulele trio’ have been wowing audiences up and down Aotearoa and Australia for over a decade.

They have performed at events as diverse as Arts and Folk festivals to WOMAD as well as inspiring thousands of school kids throughout the country. The Nukes recently won the best NZ On Air Best Children's Music Video award.

Supervision and photographs
Kids must be accompanied by an adult for all activities.
Filming and photography by Te Papa may take place at this event. The material might be shared online or through social media.
