Kapiti Cycling Club presents their winter series of graded road races* for Grades A - D, plus a Social grade (no-drop group ride). Points for each race are awarded and accumulate over the series, with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each category.
Prizes include over $1,200 in Tineli (cycle clothing) gift vouchers, Ruth's Rider of the Day each week and the winner of each grade also receives a Tour Leader jersey to keep.
Social grade - this is designed as the entry-point for those who want to give a bike race a go. It is run as a fun, no-drop bunch ride until the final 1km, when there is the opportunity for an optional sprint.
*Each grade is its own competition, so you are riding with people with a similar ability.
