Are you keen to flex your creative muscles and develop your landscape and portrait portfolios? NZIPP Wellington region invites NZIPP members to a creative weekend in the Wairarapa.
This is an informal couple of days of sharing, brainstorming, inspiration and fun. Rather than hold formal workshops, we will immerse ourselves into the wonderful Wairarapa environment and share our skills and ideas. This is an amazing opportunity for you to pick the brains of some of New Zealand’s most creative photographers, including Esther Bunning, Rebecca Kempton and Sharisse Eberlein. We also encourage other participants to contribute their skills.
Starter ideas for the weekend include:
• Astrophotography (moonrise at midnight)
• Rural / natural landscapes (e.g. Lake Wairarapa – potentially including wildlife photography)
• Urban landscapes: Greytown
• Creative landscapes, e.g. camera movement
• Creative portraiture
The gathering will run from midday Saturday 17 September until midday Sunday 18 September, but of course anyone who is on a roll is free to extend the weekend to include Sunday afternoon!
We’ve booked accommodation for Saturday night at the Tauherenikau Event Centre (https://www.tauherenikau.co.nz/accommodation/) for only $45 per person for NZIPP members and $80 for non-members - limited to 20 people. Bring your breakfast, food and drink if you like. We can also order takeaways to our accommodation or go out for dinner. We will be car-pooling so that we can share the cost of travel.
We’d love for you to join us - all members welcome! Please book promptly so we can confirm the accommodation (first in, first served).
