Interested in design and coding for the web? Learn how to create a basic website using HTML5 and CSS3 - no prior knowledge of websites needed but basic computer skills essential.

Ideal if you’re a small business owner looking to promote yourself on the web or an individual wanting to publish content on the web for a worldwide audience, in this introductory course to HTML5 and CSS3, you’ll learn about the language of the web and its applications, in a combination of theory and practical activities.

The main topics covered in this course are: basic HTML5 tags and structure, CSS styling and application, folder structure and naming, hyperlinks, images and code checking.

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:
- Learn about web design, through theory and exercises
- Plan a basic website
- Code a basic website using HTML5 and CSS3 using Sublime Text 2
- Check and validate your webpages
- Research web hosting and domain name options
