World Vision Junior Youth Conference is a leadership event for students in years 6-8, designed to spark a passion for justice in young Kiwis, and equip them with leadership tools to create change. This fun-filled day takes the place of the previous World Vision 40 Hour Famine Leaders Day event.
Throughout the day, students will:
Learn about global inequality, Sustainable Development Goal #2 and how it relates to them.
Be equipped with the skills to become leaders and inspire their school.
Hear from inspiring guest speakers.
Participate in thought provoking, interactive sessions.
Time: 9:00am - 2:30pm
Doors open: 8:30am
Event start time: 9:30am
Event finish time: 2:30pm
Parking: Public parking (pay and display) at nearby carparks including Filleul Street Carpark or Wilson Parking Moray Place ($9.50 for the day).
Details:
Students are required to have a teacher or guardian accompany them for the full day
Students will need lunch, a notebook and a pen
Free lunch + morning tea is provided for teachers
Please note due to the popularity of this event tickets are limited to 4 students and 1 teacher pass per school. Please contact schools@worldvision.org.nz if you have questions regarding ticketing.
