Children's Day Whangārei

Join us at a fun free whanau day to celebrate tamariki on Children's Day 2023.

This year, Te Rā o Ngā Tamariki – Children’s Day will be held on Sunday 5th March from 10am - 1pm at the new Te Ora Hou centre at 104 Corks Road, Tikipunga.

Everything will be free from food, activities, entertainment to buses to and from the event.

Ngati Hine FM will keep the crowd entertained and manage the music. Local acts will be on the stage. There will be face painting, bubbles, arts and crafts, music, races and games for the whole family. The police will hold their "obstacle course", and circus Kumarani will provide fun for kids of all ages. A large range of organisations have banded together and can't wait to celebrate our tamariki with you.
