Current Conversations - An Exhibition of Work by Cathy Davies
Current Conversations is an array of both artistic media and subject matter. Usually a contemporary portrait artist, after the death of her mother last year Cathy found solace in painting flowers. Their simple beauty was both comforting and soothing and she became drawn to the power of the creative process itself. “I felt lost and it was through exploring with play and mark making that I found my way into new conversations that include portrait, flower and abstract landscapes. I have found my way back to my joy.”
The exhibition features mixed media works in large format on canvas and more intimate framed pieces. From contemporary portraits, through to florals and abstract landscapes. There are original artworks and giclee artist prints available.
