Gondola Hill Walk

Come and walk Gondola Hill and help raise funds for restoration of Kaipupu Sanctuary. It will be a unique opportunity to access this incredible local viewpoint! The 1hr, 2.2km walk to the top is steep, but there are plenty of opportunities to ‘stop and enjoy the view’! Just take your time, have plenty of water and enjoy the challenge - it's not a race!
Start of the walk: End of Fantail Heights, Endeavour Park Estate (off Waikawa Road, Picton)
Parking: Please be mindful of residents when parking. Parking also available Lower Pavilion carpark, 5mins walk from start of track. Please consider carpooling, walking or cycling to reduce congestion for nearby residents.
Registration: Pre-register at https://kaipupupoint.infoodle.com/f/GondolaHillWalk2023. Please check in and pay at the registration table at the start of the track between 10 – 11am. Note for H&S, the track will be closed to new walkers by 11am.
Fee: Kaipupu Sanctuary members $10, non-members $15, under 13 free. Eftpos available.
You’ll also be able to buy a sausage sizzle ($2) and cold drink ($1) at the top so bring some cash.
Please bring: layers of clothes recommended (there can be a cold wind at the top), solid footwear, water, sunscreen, camera and determination!
The small print: No bikes on the track, and this is a smoke free event. Dogs permitted on leash only (and don’t forget your poop bags!). Please note there is no toilet on site. Children must be supervised at all times. Please note this is private land and is available thanks to the generosity of the landowner.
