The world's best brewers return to Wellington for the Hāpi Symposium 2023

Hāpi Research is thrilled to welcome back the Hāpi Symposium! First launched in 2019, the symposium brings together the world's best breweries, industry leaders, scientists, hop farmers and guest speakers under one iconic Wellington roof.

Led by Hāpi Research, an industry-led group of hop growers, breweries, universities and research institutions, the symposium connects local breweries with international experts for a full day of curated talks covering the latest news, hop research, brewing techniques and innovation from around the globe. The symposium presents an important opportunity for international and NZ brewing industries to connect, learn, share and grow- all while we celebrate the 2023 hop harvest.

The Hāpi Symposium also coincides with Wellington’s iconic arts and music festival, CubaDupa. Garage Project will run a live music stage and beer garden out of their Wild Workshop brewery all weekend, in celebration of the unique cultural fabric that makes up Wellington’s Cuba Street.

We’re in for a truly special moment in NZ brewing history, as we welcome the best brewers, breweries and industry professionals to our own backyard.
