The route is navigationally straightforward but no one will be out on the course giving directions.
Distance is approximately 28km and vertical height gain (Strava) is about 1000m.

Categories
Male under 40 years : Weight bearing 45 lbs plus food & water
Male over 40 years : Weight bearing 30 lbs plus food & water
Female: Weight bearing 30 lbs plus food & water
The load should be made up of useful tramping, camping and safety items and NOT “dead weight”.
Appropriate trekking type boots should be worn i.e. no running shoes.
Registration : Redwood Street car park from 6.00am. Read & sign the event waiver and set off when ready.
Results: On finishing present to the registration desk to have your pack weighed and time recorded.
