The Tararua Excellence in Farming Awards were been created to recognise, celebrate and inspire excellence in Tararua’s agricultural sector. Our winners showcase people and businesses who work hard to make our region a great place to farm, work and live.
This year we are doing things a little differently after the devastating impact Cyclone Gabrielle has had on our farming communities, and due to the cancellation of the Property Brokers Sheep & Beef Farm Business of the Year Award & the Pukemiro Station Cadetship Shepherd of the Year.
We know our incredible Tararua farmers, shepherds and communities are now focused on recovery and so we are making this event FREE for Tararua farmers to have a night off-farm, catch up, and to celebrate our people. Numbers are limited so don’t miss out.
Guest speaker and Rangitikei Farmer Andrew Stewart will be joining us to talk about his recovery after the 2004 floods, to give some insight and inspiration, and of course, we’ll be awarding the inaugural winners of the following awards:
