Show Me Shorts invites you to a Queer Short Film Night showcasing filmmakers and stories from the LGBTQI+ community in New Zealand. Six short films have been selected from our archive that touch on confessions, confusions, dramatisations, drag and... rugby. Join us in a cosy bar to enjoy these stories and connect with others.

'Her Beneath Her' is a documentary that explores the experiences of three 'hyper queens' and the challenges they face finding acceptance in the male-dominated drag industry.

'The Grind' invites us into the covert world of Grindr. New Zealand gay men reveal stories about their encounters of all kinds in this frank documentary.

'Tits on a Bull' follows star player Phoenix as she struggles to choose between her longtime friendship with ageing rugby coach Rusty, and the new relationship blossoming with her team captain Melanie.

'Zinzan' is a drama about a rugby-mad father who fears his son might not be recruited into the national Under 20's team when he insists on bringing his boyfriend to practice.

'Sybil's Psychic Hotline' is a dark comedy about Con who decides that the perfect way to cheer up her depressed and bedridden partner Bella is to call a clairvoyant phone line.

'Repugnant' introduces Grace who wants to prove that her pray-away-the-gay dog therapy works by trying to 'cure' Fergis the pug of his homosexuality.

These are informal and fun events, and all are welcome. Seating will not be allocated, so first in best dressed. The bars will be open with food and drink available for purchase.
