This Silent Divide, Gatekeepers, & Broke at Mike's Beer

A night of live rock and punk music at Mike's Beer, with This Silent Divide (Wellington), supported by New Plymouth locals Gatekeepers and Broke. Free Show thanks to Mike's Beer. 186 Devon Street East, New Plymouth. Doors open at 830pm.

This Silent Divide are a rock band from Wellington, that mix driving drums, wall-of-sound guitars and melodic overtones to create catchy, high-energy songs. They are known for their tight and powerful live sound that gets audiences moving.

2023 has seen the band regularly gigging and release singles 'Beautiful Creature' and 'Morning' to positive reviews and achieve radio play on a range of NZ radio stations, in the US, UK & Germany. The band also released a dark and mysterious music video for Beautiful Creature.
Back in the recording studio in October, with a new single due out before this live show, the band are looking forward to their first visit to the Naki, off the back of awesome support from local radio station The Most FM.

Gatekeepers is a post hardcore band hailing from New Plymouth, their sound is deeply rooted in the classic post hardcore scene of the early 2000’s with influences like Alexisonfire, Rise against, and Comeback kid to name a few. Gatekeepers released their debut album 'Moments' in February of this year, including the singles 'Always a rebel never a rogue', 'Hurricanes' and a cheeky cover of a Dua Lipa anthem.

Broke is a punk / alternative rock band from the heart of Taranaki. The band consists of five good mates who have recently come together to build upon Hamish’s solo work and collaborate on new material. They have a real passion for music and love to play high energy gigs. Their music ranges from fast punk / rock riffs to ska beats inclusive of groovy bass runs, lead breaks, with a punchy back rhythm, and dynamic melodies. Influences include bands such as; GNR, Sublime, NUFAN, Metallica, NOFX, Lagwagon.
