Astrophotography Open Night

Venture to Star Safari on Ponatahi Road, Thursday, 10 October, 7pm – 10pm to engage with our prominent local dark sky champions, Hari & Sam in an Open Night of Astrophotography.

Learn to capture awesome night sky photographs and meet other astrophotography enthusiasts to share your love of Wairarapa’s Dark Sky Reserve and all things space.

Expand your telescope knowledge with hands-on experience using the diverse collection of 14 telescopes, ranging from classic reflectors to sophisticated refractors and versatile catadioptrics.
If refractor and catadioptrics mean nothing to you – learn alongside Sam, our resident telescope expert and astrophysicist with decades of experience and enthusiasm to share.
