Long time popular writer and performance poet Bruce Bisset is back after 40 years. He has been far from idle in the meantime; he has run businesses, had a family, gone into politics, and even fallen into a black hole. He has now emerged with a new volume of poetry, entitled “endings", a 50-year back catalogue of work from 1984-2023, ranging from reflective to rambunctious, the best of which have been selected by former poet laureate David Eggleton. He is touring nationwide to promote the book and have some fun at the same time and this show is part of the tour.
Supported by Dave Murphy - Well-known for his driving blues and finger-style picking, Dave lays down a powerful rhythm with low growly blues and high and lonesome ballads, Dave performs with energy and joy.
