We have partnered with Greater Wellington Regional Council, Porirua City Council, and local iwi to restore the hills of Belmont Park. Starting on the west hillside, our aim this year is to plant over 7,000 native plants to create a forest for the future! Our efforts will bring back the native forest and help create an ecological corridor for wildlife to travel between Wellington, Porirua, Kāpiti and the Hutt Valley.
A BBQ will be put on for lunch by our staff for both events, along with extra refreshments! Please bring a full water bottle and snacks for morning tea.
Transport is provided on request (please get in touch for availability as seats are limited) - we have two designated pick-up points in Wellington City and Johnsonville.
Registrations Are Essential via Our Website.
For All Enquiries Please Email: Wellington@cvnz.Org.Nz
We Ask All Volunteers to Please Wear: Long Sleeves, Long Pants, Sturdy Boots/shoes and Warm/waterproof Layers. A Beanie and Jacket Is Recommended As the Wind Can Get Nippy On-site.
