Dalmatian Cultural Society Open Day 2024

The Dalmatian Cultural Society invites you to its Annual Open Day on Sunday, September 22, starting at 10:30 am. Entry is by donation, and you'll be warmly welcomed at the door!

Explore exhibits showcasing the talents of our members, including art, traditional handcrafts, and much more. Don’t miss the special displays at the Dalmatian Archive and Museum, featuring:

100 Years of Dalmatian Market Gardening
The Dalmatian Wrestlers
Heritage Folklore Costumes
Kauri Gum Collection
Our knowledgeable Archive workers will be available to guide you on using our resources for research. As you stroll down the corridor, take a moment to admire the photographs of Kolo Dancers dating back to the 1930s when the club was first established.

Additional Activities:

Visit the Library: Browse through over 3,000 Croatian books.
Upstairs Dining: Food will be available for purchase all day. Enjoy a trading table filled with prsule, krostule, cakes, preserves, and many other delicacies.
1:00 pm: Cooking demonstration.
2:00 pm: Folklore concert.
Stay for afternoon tea and then follow it with a delicious dinner.
