Journey to peace and relaxation with a range of simple mindfulness and meditation techniques.

This class offers deep physical and mental relaxation using asana (physical postures), pranayama (breathwork), and yoga-nidra (guided relaxation), before finishing with an immersion into yoga sound. Nourishment for the well-being of body, mind and soul.

Unlike most forms of meditation you do not need any experience to feel the benefits. This practice is non-sectarian and is for everyone; regardless of race, nationality, religion, age, gender or any other external designations.

We have a cosy little venue located at the YWCA, 7PM every Thursday in the women's room (this is just the name of the room, the event is open to everyone!) The address is 28 Pembroke Street, Hamilton Lake, Hamilton 3204 and the car park is located on the corner of Pembroke street and Clarence street. The room is half way down the alleyway. You should see the Waikato Meditation sign outside.

Entry is free / all of our programs are not-for-profit, so donations / koha are gratefully appreciated.

We get some questions about bringing children. At most of our programs we welcome bringing the whānau (such as kirtan) but this class is very meditative and quiet so they may get a bit restless. If you think that they can participate and not disturb the other group members during this time please feel welcome to bring them.

Check out our other events on Facebook and our free Kirtan mantra meditation on Tuesdays.
