Calling all sci-fi enthusiasts, puzzlers, language nerds, and art explorers: come visit Deep Phosphene and learn about a clever and creative exoplanetary species you’ve never heard of!

A mysterious pod has been temporarily deposited at the Quarry Arts Centre, all the way in the back by the waterfall. It looks like an innocuous green shipping container, but inside you will find a set of otherworldly challenges. The puzzles were created by a community of semi-aquatic cephalopod-like beings called the Shazeqi. They are keen to meet us if we can prove ourselves worthy of their attention by solving the set of challenges they’ve left for us. Play with sound and light, complete circuits, combine alien tea ingredients, learn a new language… The puzzles range from simple to very tricky.
