Cuba’s working people have made major advances through Cuba’s socialist revolution.
The revolution has wiped out illiteracy, built a free, universal health care system and boosted women’s independence with the right to family planning, paid maternity leave and childcare.
Cuba’s health workers are renowned throughout the world with 30,000 Cuban health workers aiding those in need in 67 countries.

The U.S. rulers, fearful of the example the Cuban Revolution has set, have waged a relentless economic war for more than 65 years to try to strangle the revolution — sanctions the Biden administration continues to enforce.

U.S. government agencies continue to try to foment discontent inside Cuba as the world economic crisis causes shortages and difficulties on the island. The damage caused by the U.S. blockade costs Cuba $4.8 billion a year.

By maintaining Cuba on its outrageous ‘State Sponsors of Terrorism’ list, Washington penalizes any group or person that trades with Cuba, largely blocking their access to the world banking and credit system. This means Cuba often can’t import needed raw materials, fuel and a myriad of other products.
