The 18th installation of Film Adjacent is on the horizon. This month Tyler Shane Tesolin will commence a new screening series: The Cinema We Need: Films From the Canadian Underground. The title takes from a historic call to arms by prominent experimental filmmaker and Canuck, R. Bruce Elder; a short manifesto addressing the need for a distinctly Canadian experimental cinema to combat the hegemony of dominant cinematic codes in North America. We are also very lucky to bring to you a virtual introduction from none other than Richard Kerr. It is going to be a good one!
