Join Te Waka Huia Wellington Museum for a look into the compelling history of Tapu Te Ranga Marae. Learn about the community through a documentary film screening, and hear the story told by Parehinetai Sannyasi, daughter of kaumatua Bruce Stewart and spokesperson for the marae.

Tapu Te Ranga Marae: A Documentary is directed by Vanessa Patea and produced by Ruth Korver. The film was created over six years and released one year after the tragic fire at the marae.

What was life on the marae like? How will it be redeveloped? See the pou whenua in the Te-Whanganui-a-Tara exhibition space. Learn more about the marae and its community, nau mai haere mai!
