Folk Dancing Group OPAS welcomes you to a journey around the Balkans and back into the roots of the Slavic culture. The invitation is to celebrate together our folklore exploring the specific musical rhythms of the Balkans embedded in dances from the region. We hope you’ll challenge yourselves to learn more about our culture by joining the dancing group assembled far away from our home region butwith a spirit which bounds us beyond any borders. Our dances are not just physical exercises, but way of communication expressing emotions, sharing positive energy and extending friendships between nations.
There are no restrictions to age, level of fitness and time to join us. Our practices are ongoing between November 2024 through May 2025 every second and fourth Sundays of the month, 3-5 pm, Fendalton Community Centre, 170 Clyde Road.
