Woolen Freestyle Floral Stitch Cushions

With Lea-Anne Sheather

Saturday, 9th November

9am – 3pm

Ages 18+

All materials you need for the day will be provided

You will be guided in a variety of easy stitches to create floral and leaf designs. This will be a chance for you to be creative in your design and colour choices. It will be a small group, which means you will be given plenty of individual support. You will leave the workshop with the skills to complete this project on your own.

We will stop at midday for a lunch break. You have the option of bringing your own lunch or there is a café in the Village.

Lea-Anne Sheather has a Bachelor of Education, Post grad certificate in special education and a MFA (1st class honours) - 'Kia Ora, my name is Lea-Anne Sheather. I am a multi-media artist, teacher and I run The Island of Woo workshop and Studio from Whakatane. I have previously worked as a primary school teacher and an art teacher for many years. Currently, I work full time as an artist and tutor. The workshops I run are kept small, so that plenty of one-to-one assistance is available. I strive to create a supportive, fun and encouraging environment for my students, where I help them develop their skills and creativity as well as enjoying the comradery of the group for the day.'
